The National Register of Historic Places was created in 1966 to show the architectural heritage of the country. Since it was created it has been extended to cover ships, trains, street cars and other kinds of old things that move. There are also Car barns, round houses and other kinds of railroad structures.

further information on the Register can be had on the National Park Service web site and also the Historic Preservation of the State where you live.
