It isn't for the movie night passage. 476 remained as 476 for that movie. Just hollywooded up a bit though with some paint (even lettered as D&RGW)
Here is an online clip of Night Passage that shows some of the train scenes...too bad about the jerky quality though. Great movie for any fan of the Rio Grande narrow gauge and overall San Juan mountain area:

Going by the date, perhaps this was for the 1953 movie
Naked Spur also staring Jimmy Stewart. Haven't seen this one in years and I can't remember if there are train scenes or not. I remember it more for the beautiful mountain scenes so maybe no train in this one.
Another movie shot in the Durango area in 1954 was titled
Three Young Texans. Never seen this one. Could be the mystery movie.
