To answer a couple of questions. The railcar, from the windshield forward is a 1923 Model T Ford. It is powered by a flat head 4 cylinder engine. The engine and transmission (all in one casting) were rebuilt and the ignition is upgraded to a distributor system. The car has electric start. There are photos of the railcar under construction over the last 3 years but much of the work was done at a volunteers home shop and the photos have not yet been published.
Today the railcar took passengers out on the 10 and 11AM time slots in place of the regular train. At the North end of track the passengers and crew got out so the car could be turned. The layover gives the passengers a chance to watch as the car is lifted on it's own turntable. The railcar has only been in service for two weeks but running it as the carded train works well for a smaller number of people and the passengers were happy with the ride.
