Earl,
the wikipedia entry for D&RGW K-36 says that
"[K-36s] were built with special valves to allow brake control between locomotives while double-heading, and were commonly found between Alamosa and Chama, New Mexico."
Is that "special valves" fact something the author pulled out of his butt, or is there something to it?
I ask because I don't trust that particular wikipedia entry. The entry also claims that 485 was scrapped, but that is obviously nonsense because I just saw 485 in a Cumbres Pass night photo session...
