It is good to hear that Sam is working on a third book. I have both of his previous works and they are superb. Sam is one nice fella. I have seen his discretion when using the copter for photos. Perhaps Kolorado Kid just didn't know who was in the copter and what he means to narrow gauge preservation.

Look up Sam Furakawa and check out some of his accomplishments, but don't expect Sam to be tooting his own whistle much as he is very modest in true Japanese tradition. As John Cole posted, Sam is a VERY big contributer dollar-wise to ng interests, but he does not feel entitled as such, he just wants to get the shot.

He is one cool dude.
