Getting those unsual locations that you normally cannot get into very well is the basic reason for the trips on the C&TS and D&S, at least as far as I am concerned. While I do enjoy the C&TS going up the hill from Chama, I have shot most of those locations over the years. Would be more interested in the more remote spots now.
When I was doing a photo special in 1992, and we had done all the runbys except one last one at Fergusons bridge, we were running along downgrade and enjoying the awe inspiring scenery between Phantom Curve and Lava. The bad news is there are so many spots to photograph that you cannot get them all on one photo charter. The good news is that there are more challenges left afterwards for future trips. With all the trips I made out there 20 years ago and before, I have barely scratched the surface on some areas.
