OK guys/gals:

I've done some checking and yes, we can charter this for a run over the pass. Cost would be high...about $175-$200 per person (van holds about 8-9) per day, but we could get to some very unique spots. Kind of like running the old RGS goose and doing runbys at hard to get locations. A plan would be to leave Alamosa in the AM, do some runbys up to Fir in the Forbes ranch area, clear at Fir. We would then wait and photograph 1744, then follow the train down and get some photos (again of the van) on the rock edges below Fir where it would be too difficult for a train load of photographers on a regular charter. Turn at Occidental (using the turntable) and return to Fir after some more photos, wait at Fir for 1744 return, etc. Lots of opportunites to be dropped off at remote locatons for 1744 and have the van come back after the train passes.
