Like other railroads in the past we are always looking ways to save $$$. This beastie surfaveced as surplus on the CN in the Great White North (notive the NW Territories license plate). We have purchased this unit ans use it on the Alamosa - Antonito passenger on Saturdays and Sundays. The van is also available for charter.

It began life as a 1976 Ford Econoline. As you can see it is not a highRail vehicle, the original wheels/tires have been replaced with flanged wheels, and the steering gear immobilized. It has a built-in turntable and is powered by a 300 cid Ford 6-cylinder engine.
