In Sept. 1944 the car was sold to "Montezuma Lumber Co." (do not confuse with 'The Montezuma Lumber Co.' at Glencoe) and it brought joy to many logger during their weekends at McPhee as it carried them to Dolores where they could buy food and other exciting things. It is likely many slep those nights as it carried them back to the mill town.
