When I was there on April 30, 1963 photographing the ET&WNC working the consolidation from Johnson City to Elizabethport, the crew tied down the 2-8-0 near the water tower and climbed on the fireless cooker and went into the plant and did all the switching. Later as they rounded up the out-bounds they went for a recharge and then worked in the in-bound cars. Then they got back on the coal fired engine and continued their work and returned to Johnson City. I took 400 feet of movies (R8) of this which just got digitized and it may be for sale soon to anyone one interested.
