I was enjoying some of the Welsh 2' videos on youtube and got curious about the Farlie operation. There was one cab ride vide0 which showed the engineer at work with a huge reverser and double throttles that seemed to be about head height, so that answered that side of the engine plate. But the firemans side was never clearly shot. It appears to be oil burners but from the video it looked like one set of controls to operate both boilers. There appeared to be no way to get from one side of the cab to the other without exiting the cab because of boilers, is there just one firebox? How did they manage to fire these machines in coal burning days?
