The Model T was a popular choice for adaptation to rail use for a number of reasons. In the era when the railcars were being built, the parts supply was unlimited. Also, the service brake is in the transmission so brake shoes on the wheels were not needed although many railcars had wheel brakes for safety.
Four of the Maine Two-Footers had Model T railcars. The WW&F's new Model T is an upgraded and longer version of SR&RL car 2. The car will hold 6 adults. It will have it's own turntable that allows the car to be turned anywhere there are planks between the rails. This is important on the WW&F where the mainline gets extended each year. The car has a newer ignition system with a distributor instead of the old buzz coils. Parts are no problem as there are a number of suppliers that carry just about every Model T part brand new.
The original SR&RL car 2 visited the WW&F a couple of years ago and it was very popular. There were almost as many tickets sold for the railcar as the steam train.
