The pros seem to have pretty well covered last Tuesday's excursion by posting LOTS of
BEAUTIFUL photos, so I will not even try to compete by posting any more of my own — mine would just be similar to theirs taken in the same run-by locations anyway.
Instead, here are a few pics from my journey home to California

It was REALLY windy and VERY dusty on U.S. 160 from Cortez past the temporarily closed Four-Corners monument to Flagstaff. Here are a couple of photos comparing last year and this year just east of Kayenta
Near Tsegi, a few miles west of Kayenta, the air suddenly turned cool and crystal clear. I pulled off the road to rest for a while, and was surprised by the passage of a loaded coal train en route from Black Mesa to Lake Powell. The lead units were visitors from South of the Border, the fourth an AmTrak unit from the Far East
