I know this locomotive has been sitting out in the weather since 1970 or so in Chama and has had many parts stripped off over the years.
What are the prospects of this locomotive being restored to service? I don't think the C&TS needs her but if the 493 proves successful at the D&S they may eventually be interested in another locomotive. I note that 492 was rebuilt in 1663 by the D&RGW using parts from the wrecked 490. I don't know if that makes her a better candidate for restoration or not.
