SRR boxcar 536 survives today on a residential property in Silverton, where it was used as a shed for several decades. This is the last known SRR boxcar remaining. It was originally purchased by Otto Mears from a group of 37 surplus D&RG/RGW boxcars. Mears renumbered these cars for the SRR, 500-544. The SJCHS plans to move this car to a site near the SN engine house.
