I agree that the SS United States is worth preserving. I personally would like to see her preserved as an operable ocean liner rather that turned into a stationary attraction.

I think that if marketed correctly as a nostalgic ocean cruise she could be operated profitably.

She can travel across the Atlantic and back in about 5 days. Say with a 2 day stop-over in London or Paris, I belienve I would serisouly consider bying a ticket on her, so long as the price was comperable to air fare plus a week's hotel stay.

I think it would be alot of fun.
