All the fuss about the leaking packing in Up's Big Boy brings to my (admittedly strange) mind the story told by to Morris Cafky by one CM engineer of how he made time on train #3 to Leadville up Ute Pass with the infamous 200's when they were still compounds. Seems the packing leaked so bad that he couldn't see anyway so he'd get down on the deck and help fire as they went up the 4%!
