Probably one of the trackage rights runs between the two isolated segments of the AZER (the Morenci line, connecting with UP at Lordsburg, NM, and the Miami line, connecting at Bowie, AZ). My understanding is that UP interchanges with them at Lordsburg, which would explain the AZER train dragging it west, as the shops are up near Globe.
