One item that Fritz, Dick and I all missed in your first request. Do not go up 110 to get to Arrastra Gulch. In years past County road 110 ran between the Mayflower (Standard Metals) mill to Silverton and then on up Cement Creek (or the reverse). Same number all the way. Many, many times I have been in Gladstone, encountering people who think that 110 is still the name of the road up the Animas from Silverton, as is shown on many maps. Not so. Now the road to Animas Forks, up the Animas, is County road 2. Some of my encounters with lost jeepers and others have been pretty funny (and some rather sad). The bottom line is, turn right at the northeast end of Greene.
