Any idea what the date of the film is? I seem to recall that the D&RGW kept a coach and baggage car in Gunnison for a while in the mid 1940's, they saw some use in pasenger service as a result of a highway closure. As I recall, the caoch was #280. #280 also was used in the final excursion through the Black Canyon in 1949 (along with just about every narrow gauge passenger car the D&RGW had), perhaps this was a move to assemble everything in Salida for that or another trip.
