So it appears this guy rode a freight from Gunnison to Marshall pass
and eventually I suppose to Salida. The next thing we see is the 499 trip, which appeared to be over Marshall Pass as well. The fact that there was a baggage car and a coach is interesting on this freight from Gunnison. Were the coach and baggage car sent over with some fans on it and they are riding it back on a freight, or is it just deadheading cars to Salida for some reason. By this time the Shavano was gone right, so why would there be coaches in Gunnison at this time other than for something special??? Otherwise how did this guy get to Gunnison from Salida which is where the film starts?? Always more questions when you solve one thing...Cool mysteries to solve though,eh!!
