Narrow gauge gas

February 20, 2010 01:45PM avatar
I can't remember if it was Shamrock or some other small retailer, but when I was driving to and from the ng. back in the 60's I can remember at least one small roadside refinery next to a service station out in the middle of nowhere offering "Refinery Fresh Gas". I can also remember needing gas at the Grand Canyon and being absolutely outraged that it was 99 cents a gallon.
