I just looked over Vol III again myself. The ones you didn't mention (1095, 1110, 1163, 1217, 1232, 1277, 1251, 1296, 1088, 1741, 1261, 1343, 1397, 1400, 1406, 1467, 1493, 1530, 1554, 1573, 1599, 1746, 1763, 1830, and 1839) all have split stakes. Not just one or two, usually but many. With the exception of one stake on 1397 and a couple of stakes on 1746, every car's short stakes stop exactly at the top of the fourth board - their original height from ACF. These were added-to originals, not repairs.
