#497 in 1996 (pics)

Hi, All -
A few days after riding the second of Jim Trowbridge's 1996 specials, Brad & Jarrett LaRose
and I returned to Chama to chase a double-header with #497 as the helper. IIRC this was the third
weekend of September - the beginnings of the busy fall colors season - so the trains were heavier
than usual.
We took the usual departure, 'Lake Lobato' and Lobato Trestle shots before heading for a long hike at Windy Point:
