Nice photos of the headlights. 41's light looks like it has the metal dish with a tin finish. You would use a non-abrasive cleaner on it. Tin reflectors are sometimes found on lights that were originally oil fired and converted to electric. The dish in a converted light had openings in the top for the chimney and bottom for the burner fount. These openings were often filled when the new opening was cut in the center for the electric fixture.
340's headlight appears to have the glass dish which is typical of lights built new as electric. The glass reflectors have a reverse silvered finish which means that the silver material is applied to the back of the glass. You can use glass cleaner on the front but it will not improve the tint or finish of the silver. The only way to do that is to have the reflector glass stripped and re-silvered. The silvering process is similar to the finish used on older glass mirrors.
