Dick Dorman's book on Durango has a picture of one of the engines being put back together after being brought over in pieces from Alamosa. The Boiler and frame would be separated and put on separate flat cars, and the tender trucks on another flat. Put narrow gauge trucks on the tender and bring the whole mess to Durango and put it together. Take it out the same way.
Dorman's book also lists the 6 T-18 4-6-0's that operated on the branch. Only two, #519 and #521 were scrapped before the end of SG operations into Farmington, and they are listed as scrapped along with 3 others in 1920. The other Farmington branch engines, 510, 514, 524(506), and 525 were scrapped in 1924 after the branch was converted to NG. Again, they were written off as scrap along with 16 other T-18 engines in that year.
