The D&RG had many different snow plow pilot designs for both narrow gauge and standard gauge locomotives including the early diesels which did not come equipped with plows.
The D&RG shops could easily build plow pilots. If they could build complete cars and tenders, a plow pilot would be a piece of cake. The plows on RGS 2-8-0s were not built specifically for K27s, but were a general design that the shops modified to fit specific engines.
