Excuse me, Michael, but that is precisely the attitude that the Colorado Historical Society had when they went nuts after firing the GLR and finding that they had no steamers to run a railroad, so they went on a rape-and-pillage expedition, trying to plunder Colorado's park locomotives. I can speak only for people I know in here in Boulder, CO, but we are incensed at the CHS and are trying to find ways to get back our #30/74. So hands off the park engines. They are not your toys to play with.
Pardon the rant, NGDF board, but this kind of cavalier attitude about other people's history drives me nuts!
Mike
