Louis Johnson and John ``Jughead'' Johnson were two different men. Louis Johnson was later killed in almost an instant replay of the wreck that killed John Connor. IIRC Jack Dieckman was the fireman.
Jim Connor was the oldest of the Connors, Steve Connor the youngest. Paul Connor (Steve's grandson) said that Uncle Jim was about 20 years older than his grandpa. Steve Connor was born in 1903. There is a picture of him with fireman Lee Otteson in Antonito after they operated the last Rio Grande passenger train over Cumbres in November 1968.
BTW T.V. Cummins held the 26th slot on the Alamosa Division engineers list on 1-1-1945.
