I have "found" an old water service outfit car east of Bayfield on private property up Saul's Creek. I believe this is the car identified on Dave Dye's website as 04930, but I am not sure how this number was determined.
Remnants of a number are faintly visible in the paint, but not enough to really read. The words "water service" are very clear on the end door. Inside, there are mysterious stencils that read "RHS" in a few places and number has been written in yellow grease pencil - 49865.
Does anybody know the history of this car? Any photos of this car?
The car appears to have been moved again (not very far- a few hundred feet) since Richard Bell took the photo on Dave's site.
We will post a few photos we took yesterday.
Thanks,
Travis
