Telluride always brings two thoughts to my middle-aged mind:
1) Thank you Dad for going out of the way so I could see it back in the early 70's when it was still an honest town.
2) Wasn't the guy who started the development in the 70's a refugee from Aspen who *promised* Telluride wouldn't be "another Aspen"?
last two times I've been in the area I avoided it like the plauge, condos down by the road jct and the level of traffic told me all I needed to know.
