The issue with her is that she makes the Loop's #12 look like powerful machine. Both the 168 and 169 together would be hard pressed to pull the same train as a mudhen. Technical issues aside, I wonder how practical it would be to restore one...unless it was by a private group (what is the saturation point for them?). I tend to think that they are woefully lacking in pulling power for most tourist operations.
It is a shame that none of the surviving Rio Grande locomotives depict the pre-D&RGW days. While the stack is hideous, I'm glad that at least one of the T-12s has pseudo D&RG paint. I'd also love for the 318 to receive F&CC paint...even if the crossheads and such would be incorrect. There certainly were a large number of really cool paint schemes!
I suppose that #20 will be the next 3'gauge 4-6-0 returned to service, followed by the equally beautiful SPng #18. Maybe Oahu Railway #85 will someday get to stretch her rods again as well.
