Re: NG Motel?

S.R.Bush's inquiry about the NG motel brought
some questions to my mind. The first trip or two we made we stayed there, Later it was sold or something and we started staying at a hotel that faced the RR about two blocks west of the Alamosa
depot.Don't remember the name but the manager always made the trip with the club and again in
the fall with the Kiwanis Club group.
My late ex wasn't a rail fan so wouldn't you know, the one time she came along and had planned to stay at this hotel they had overbooked and we had to go down the street and around the corner about a block east to a different hotel,one with open window A/C. Also it was across the street from a tavern that enjoyed a rather boisterous clientel. Needless to say, we didn't get much
sleep that night.
Anyone remember that first hotel?
