Classy and also 1st class.The hardest and most expensive part about doing #489 the GREEN way will probably be in trying to keep it clean.
One to two weeks after we would have an engine come out in the spring it would lose its just repainted appearence.The tender and sides of the cab are pretty easy to keep clean, but the boiler jacket with all of that soot and heat would almost have to be wiped down carefully every day or the accumilation of soot would be hard to keep up with.It might become an added duty for the nightwatchman.
