The relocation was completed Sept. 13, 1962 and added 3.88 miles to the route. But a track chart indicated change of 3.85 miles. Line change began at 398.70 and ended at 405.87 which was now 409.75. It old route was 7.17 miles of abandoned track replaced by 11.05 miles new track over a new bridge that was 277' long. Old flooded Arboles was 403.63 and became ????MP very near the west end of the relocation. There was a mile post 405/409 near Arboles water tank and a passing siding.
There was a small second relocation between old mile 406.92 and 407.31 which might have adjusted the route length by the -0.03 miles above noted.

Does anyone know what happened to the Contractor's small locomotive?
