Was the new line in service by late September that same year?
If so, I was on the first passenger train across the new bridge -
The Alamosa Kiwanis Kolor Karavan of 1962.

IIRC, we had a photo-runby. And since my photos of this are on the same roll of film as the Silverton photos I posted last week*, those must have been in 1962 instead of 1964, and Fritz Klinke's memory of a miner moving the outfit car up the mountain in 1963 is correct ...
