When I made replacement bushing's for #497's main rods I found out something that blew my mind,the LH rod had the old split style wrist pin end and in measuring the rod,hole ceter to hole center it was discovered that the rod was 1INCH!,, to long this rod never would have worked had it not been for the fact that the hole in the bushing could be offset enough to allow for clearance of the strike points of the cylinder heads.
