That first one is the classic which was used as the basis for an engraving. Perhaps William Henry Jackson's most famous photo...and I'm pretty sure that I recall reading that he tinted it himself. I'd thought it was from the late 1880s. Note that neither smokestack is straight...as from the photos I've seen, the few diamond/pancake stacks left in 190X were being phased out at that time.
