Hi, Jason -
Roger produced Volume I from a CD of 83 photos that I brought to him in '05; he sold the Screen Savers from his shop, and The Friends also had them available on their mail-order list for a while. 100% of the proceeds, less only production costs, went to the 'Help Save #483' fund. The money previously raised from this and from Roger's penny-stamping machine in the depot will go to the preservation and cosmetic restoration of #483 for the display near the depot.
I presume Roger will also produce and distribute Volume II, which will consist of 92 photos instead of the originally planned 83, and that all future proceeds from both Volume I
and Volume II will go toward restoration of #492 or #497 - or a combination of the better boiler with the better running gear - so a K-37 will be operational sometime in the next few years. (I have pledged an additional $2,500 toward this, provided the engine is painted very close to its original configuration as delivered from Burham Shops in 1929 or 1930 - i.e. dark green jacket, etc. - see [
ngdiscussion.net].)
