Close but not really

Actually I was quoting from a personal letter written to me by Gordon Chappell. But Gordon and Bob are good friends and worked together at the museum around that time. It would not surprise me if Gordon either was quoting from the IHN, or perhaps wrote the IHN item. Certainly the comment about Gus Aydelott and the Durango chamber was in Bob's style.
Herb's comment about irony was right on. Because the comments about the flood were buried in an upbeat and excited letter otherwise devoted to Gordon's blow by blow account of his adventures helping with the move of the equipment from the DRGW to the CATS.
It was an exciting September.
