OK, I have to admit, amazing the two photos could be so close. Time for me to move on. Time to lighten up.
Al asks "why I didn't introduce myself". I have to say that like Al, I also had on a name tag. So, I think I did introduce my self.
Which kind of brings up an interesting story. Last year, twice on the Cumbres & Toltec, I got chewed out by docents. They were upset that I was coming off like a docent. The "why that happened" is a long story. So, I thought I would go ahead and get a name tag (for my 2009 season) that says exactly what I am:
Sam Seiber
Cumbres & Toltec RR enthusiast
Denver Colorado
I have worn that tag at the CRRM during the last two events at the CRRM.
I discovered last weekend that people notice the name tag, but DO NOT READ that tag. It was right there for everyone to see. Several people saw I had a name tag on, but assumed that I had some function with the CRRM.
So, sometimes communications don't go as well as expected. Al, please accept my apology.
Nice to have goose 5 on CRRM tracks. I have 2 trips on the C&T next month on that goose. Gonna be a blast!
