Roger,

Thanks for posting the photos. I am a little saddened to see that the changes made at the ashpit make it impossible to spot a drop bottom gondola where the ashes could be shoveled in to it. It seems to me that the way the entire engine servicing facility coaling, sanding, fire cleaning, cinder handling, and watering process and technology told a valuable part of the story of the Rio Grande operation at Chama.

I wonder why paint and lettering are so much more important than the process of what went on and how it was done in the "old days"of the D&RGW.
