The most memorable "stupid non-realistic train thing" I've seen recently is in the kiddie movie "Spirit" about a wild Mustang in the old West. The most ridiculous scene has the "evil railroaders", who have captured the main character/hero, Spirit the horse, are having a team of horses pull a fired up locomotive on a wagon of sorts, up a mountain to where they are constructing the tracks. Of course the horse has his grand escape and the locomotive ends up exploding as if packed from front to rear flue sheet with C-4. I had to spend 1/2 an hour explaining to my 6 and 4 year olds how improbable this was. Yes, I'm growing up to be a Curmudgeon.
