Perhaps it's because I live in these times, but I really don't see what could be seen as nostalgic about todays commercial airliners (747s, 757, etc.) or their airports. There's no romance or thrill or...well, anything that could easily be associated with the steam railroads. A steam locomotive is still called the most human thing man has ever created, and that's alos helped them stay so alluring.
