On further checking, the 11 loads into Montrose included 2 cars stock. They were 2 cars sheep loaded at Placerville with a destination of Kansas City.

The next train to Ridgway and Ouray was on February 10. Consist was 3 cars coal for Ouray, 1 car coal for Ridgway and 3 empty RGS box. So cannot say for certain what stock cars had been used.
