Robert "Bob" Richardson and John Norwood are the Knights Templar of Colorado narrow gauge. Their books are akin to the holy grails of how things were when the narrow gauge and the Rio Grande were in their glory.
Bob is also well known for his country-wide search for steam railroading, especially NG, in the 40's and 50's and was the co-founder of the Colorado Railroad Museum.
John Norwood worked for the D&RGW starting out as a station agent/telegrapher and ending his long career as a Vice President of the RR. Do a web search on the two names and you'll find lots of info on each. Both have written a number of books.
Bob's extensive photo collection is preserved at the Denver Public Library Western History Collection.Many of Bob's photos appear regularly at the bottom of this website.
If you are not familiar with these gentlemen, discovering their works will be like an epiphany for you.
