Thanks for your interest. I take photographs almost every day. The model is getting a life of its own, as we progress. I'm surrounded by parts. Each car has six basic parts: frame, two sides, two ends, and a roof. At 1:20 scale, these things take up a lot of space. I have them standing up, side-by-side, in my hallway. I'm building two models, one of the finished car, and one of the structure - showing how the aluminum is joined with the steel. So, my hallway is pretty much filled.
The strangest thing that has happened in this project is that I am now absoulutely convinced that the aluminum cars will be built, and will contribute to the preservation of the C&TS RR. The design, the model, just seems to "work".
