Care to try Dahlonega? The first place gold was discovered in North America. When the mines played out here, the miners went west and founded many of the Colorado fields (i.e. Central City).
By the way, one of the big promotors of narrow gauge was from "Jawja". Hulbert was about as prominent as Palmer of the D&RGW according to Hilton. That's why there are 10 ex-narrow gauges withing 1.5 hours of Atlanta. I've seen most of the grades. Most were standard gauged or abandoned early but the Gainesville Jefferson & Southern/Gainesville Midland lasted until 1914 as 3'.
