Appreciate your taking the time to answer. In any event, I'm
certain that you'll be very pleased with the sound. The 7-chime
whistles that I referred to were in Mexico and homemade. Engineers
were given a lot of leeway on what they could do with their assigned
locomotives and Mexico itself was a veritable museum for different
steam whistles. I even saw & heard a Barnes "mailbox" whistle on
a shortline 0-6-0 in 1969. Sounded nice too.
