It was for the NRHS convention on July 15, 1982. In addition to running the 2 doubleheaded steam trains we also ran a little work train with the #15 (the GE-44 tonner) just to prove that all 5 of the locos the loop had were operable at the same time. It was tricky coming up with 9 qualified enginemen at the same time. I do recall now that by that time you were working at the D&S and they didn't allow beards. It was great that you were able to step in and help. Those were the days, imagine more serviceable engines than there were people to run them!
